Pumpkin Composting

Saturday, November 4, 2023 - 8:00am to 12:00pm

On Saturday, November 4th, Melrose DPW will be collecting pumpkins for composting. The event will run from 8 AM – 12 PM.

Please note that we are not able to accept pumpkins that have paint, glitter, hairspray, bleach, or petroleum jelly on them. If you are unable to come to the event to dispose of your pumpkin, please place them in the trash or personal compost bin. Please do not put pumpkins in yard waste!

In addition, residents may drop off books, textiles, mercury thermometers and thermostats, and DRIED latex paint for FREE.
