The DPW Recycling Center at 72 Tremont Street is open to Melrose businesses for commercially generated recyclable materials including: paper, cardboard, plastic, glass and aluminum. Businesses may not drop off the following items: yard waste (brush, grass and leaves) electronics, CFL bulbs or metal items.
In order to access the Center, businesses must display a valid Commercial Recycling Drop-Off Pass. Passes are available free of charge at the Public Works Operations Facility. Businesses participating in the drop-off program will be provided with the Recycling Center Guidelines including a list of Acceptable Recyclable Materials. Please note that Public Works reserves the right to revoke Passes for noncompliance with Recycling Center Guidelines.
