Income Eligible Programs

Accessing income-eligible energy programs and incentives depends on the number of units in the building where you live
2-family

As a renter or homeowner, there are many ways to save money and energy at your home or apartment. Mass Save offers increased incentives for households with incomes below 80% of the state median income. The household income guidelines for low and moderate ("Enhanced") energy efficiency programs are on the Mass Save website.

1-4 Unit Homeowner or Renter  - Start by contacting HomeWorks Energy, our Mass Save home performance contractor, to schedule a home energy assessment. They can process the required income verification and determine eligibility for a variety of offerings including weatherization, heating system upgrades, and Energy Star appliance replacements. Contact Melrose partner HomeWorksEnergy at www.homeworksenergy.com/Melrose or 781-305-3319.

5+ Unit Apartment or Condo Building - The building owner, property manager, or condo association can start the process to determine eligibility for energy efficiency measures by contacting the Lean Multifamily program and filling out an application.
