Mission Statement.

The mission of the Melrose Health Department is the promotion of the personal and environmental health of the community.  This will be achieved through community education, policy development supported by enforceable regulations, and collaboration with other people and organizations.

Help make Melrose a healthier, safer place.

Sharps Disposal – All used and unused syringes in rigid containers can be dropped off during regular City Hall Hours. Monday -Thursday, 8:30am-4:00pm and Friday 8:30am-12:30pm.  The kiosk is located outside the Health Department on the ground floor of City Hall.

Medication Drop Box – Dispose of Old and Unused Medication. Clean out your medicine cabinet. Year round you can drop off expired/unused prescriptions or over the counter medication to our drop box, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  The drop box is located at the Melrose Police Department, 54 West Foster St.
