The mission of the Election Office is to make the process of elections more understandable and accessible to the residents of the City of Melrose. Our goal is to make all information available to the public in regard to voting, elections and the process of seeking office.

- Publication of the annual city resident listing book
- Voter registration
- Absentee voting
- Conducting Federal, State, and Local Elections
- Tabulating results of all elections
- Nomination papers of candidates for public office
- Campaign Finance Reports
- Election workers
- Polling sites
If requesting a mail-in voter registration form, an application for absentee application, or general information, please e-mail the Elections Department at: firstname.lastname@example.org or call the office at (781) 979-4125. Please keep in mind that the deadline to register to vote in any election is twenty (20) days prior to the date of the election. For the November 2017 election, the deadline was Oct. 18.
