  • Flu Clinics: This week, Melrose residents can get their flu shot with Public Health Nurse Melissa Lowry during Tuesday’s Melrose/Wakefield Family Flu Clinic or Wednesday’s Melrose Walk-in Flu Clinic. Learn more by visiting www.cityofmelrose.org/2023FallFluClinics
  • Testing, Testing, 1, 2, 3: Don't forget that the Department of Public Works (DPW) is still working to complete the Citywide Water Flushing and Hydrant Testing. If you haven't already done so, check the schedule to find out when the DPW will be working to improve your neighborhood's water quality and testing and operating the water system’s valves and hydrants.
  • Hazardous Waste Collection: It may be time to clean out your closet, basement, or garage and bring your household hazardous materials to the DPW's Annual Household Hazardous Waste Collection event taking place in the MHS parking lot this Saturday.   • Coming Together: The Melrose community is invited to come together this Saturday night for the multi-generational a capella concert "Coming Together" featuring the MHS Choir, Blue of a Kind, and Yale University’s Society of Orpheus & Bacchus (Yale SOBs).   • Take a Stand Against Domestic Violence with the Melrose Alliance Against Violence (MAAV) as they hold the 23rd Annual Candlelight Vigil and Walk intended to put an end to domestic violence, honor victims and support survivors this Sunday, October 22, at 4 p.m. at the Melrose Veterans Memorial Middle School.
