Lynn Fells Parkway Detour Map

The MBTA's contractor for the Lynn Fells Parkway Bridge Replacement will once again close Lynn Fells Parkway beneath the bridge to safely remove the existing bridge and move the new bridge superstructure into place. This work will take place from 8:00 PM on Friday, October 22, through 5:00 AM on Monday, October 25.

To accommodate this work, Lynn Fells Parkway will be closed to all vehicle, bicycle, and pedestrian traffic during work hours. A signed detour route will be in place for this work. Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area or seek alternate routes to avoid delays.

Additionally, this work will require a suspension of Commuter Rail service on the Haverhill Line. Alternate bus transportation will be provided. Visit the MBTA alerts page for up-to-date scheduling information.

The Cedar Park Train Station parking lot will have reduced capacity from the evening of Thursday, October 21 through Wednesday, October 27. Commuters are advised to seek alternative parking during that time period.

Please note, the City Yard will remain open and accessible via Tremont Street. However, the Household Hazardous Waste Collection event scheduled for Saturday, October 23 will be held at Melrose High School, with access ONLY from Melrose Street. The event will not be accessible from Lynn Fells Parkway. For GPS navigation to reach the site, residents should use this address: 44 Melrose Street, Melrose, MA 02176.
