Saturday, July 8 
Melrose Community Boating Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at Ell Pond 
10 a.m., Ell Pond, 350 Lynn Fells Pkwy  

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Stoneham & Wakefield invite the community to celebrate the new community boating site at Melrose’s Ell Pond. The ribbon cutting will take place at 10 a.m. by the dog park on the pond. 


Sunday, July 9 
Beer Garden at Beebe Estates 
1 p.m. to 6 p.m., Beebe Estates, 235 W Foster Street 

The Beebe Estates will host the first ever Melrose beer garden Sunday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Bring the kids and spend an afternoon of food trucks, lawn games, and live music. You can also hit Main Street and check out some of the restaurants offering Beer Garden “Grab ’n Go” lunches. 


Tuesday, July 11 
Melrose Public Library Teens & Tweens Banned Bookswap Booktalk 
6 p.m. to 7 p.m., Beebe Playground, 263 W Foster Street 

Teens and Tweens are invited by the Melrose Public Library to their Banned Bookswap Booktalk at 6 p.m. at the Beebe Playground. Come share your favorite challenged and/or banned book with other banned book readers, and maybe pick up a recommendation or two as they share theirs. Registration required, learn more here. 


Save the date: 
Melrose Police Department’s National Night Out event will take place on Tuesday, August 1, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Cabbage Patch field at Melrose High School. The National Night Out is a family-friendly event to strengthen relationships between police and the communities they serve. More information about this year’s NNO will be shared with the community as the date nears.
