The Week Ahead: Public Meetings & Events Happening in Melrose

In Melrose, public meetings and events open to all occur every week. All posted agendas can be accessed via this link, http://melrosecityma.iqm2.com/citizens/default.aspx, and public meeting video recordings can be accessed here: https://vimeo.com/mmtv3/ (thanks, MMTV!).

It’s a Good Week for...

  • Breweries, Maybe: Over the past six months, the Brodeur Administration has been working to establish a local process to allow for the operation of breweries within Melrose City limits. Tonight, the Melrose Liquor Licensing Commission will reconvene to continue the next step in the process: they will consider, review, and adopt Liquor Licensing regulations for the local issuance of Farmer Series Pouring Permits.
  • Holiday Shopping on Main Street: The City of Melrose launched a downtown holiday Pop-Up shopping experience for the Melrose community at the YMCA Courtyard. Head there this week to check out offerings from Housse Studio!
  • Deliberating: The Melrose School Committee will hold a special meeting to begin deliberations and potentially vote on the appointment of the next Superintendent of Schools.
  • Renewal: Overnight Parking Passes will expire on December 31, 2023. Community members can purchase their annual overnight parking permit in person from the Melrose City Parking Clerk or Collector’s office located on the first floor of City Hall. Contact parkingclerk@cityofmelrose.org or call (781) 979–4144.
