Volunteers Needed for Annual Veterans Food Drive

Volunteers are needed to help run the Melrose Veterans’ Advisory Board's annual Food Drive at the Melrose Shaw’s Supermarket on Saturday, November 4, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The goal of the drive is to fill local veterans' shelves with non-perishable food items and collect gift cards and monetary donations to support Melrose’s food banks and Veterans’ services.

Volunteers are needed to fill the following shifts:

  • 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.
  • 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
  • 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

This is a great opportunity for high school students to gain community service hours.

The drive is made possible through a partnership with the Melrose Veterans’ Services Office. All donated food and gift cards will be given to the Servant’s Heart Food Pantry and the Pantry of Hope.
