This message has been updated to reflect the correct date of the Open House on the City's Open Space and Recreation Plan, which will take place on Thursday, November 17, at 6:30 p.m. (Not Wednesday, November 16).

A few events of note this week at include:

  • Thursday, November 17, at 3:15 p.m. Mayor Paul Brodeur and the Melrose High School (MHS) Unified Basketball Program will host a formal dedication and ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of the Amazing Grace Basketball Court honoring the life of Grace Zinck.
  • Thursday, November 17, at 6:30 p.m. the Office of Planning and Community Development (OPCD) will host an Open House as a way for community members to come and share their thoughts on the City’s Open Space and Recreation Plan.
  • Friday, November 18, at 11 a.m., the City of Melrose and MelroseWakefield Hospital will host a dedication ceremony and co-naming of Healthcare Heroes Way to honor MelroseWakefield Hospital staff during the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Friday, November 18, Melrose Public Schools will celebrate the seventh annual Random Acts of Kindness Day & Sunday, November 20, is the the City-wide Melrose Random Acts of Kindness Day hosted and organized by MelroseKind.
