Two New Officers Sworn in to Melrose Police Dept.

This morning Mayor Brodeur attended the swearing in of two new Melrose Police Officers, Andrew Ruby and Thomas Grant. Both longtime residents of Melrose, Officers Ruby and Grant are committed to fostering community engagement and public safety in our City.

A graduate of Roger Williams University, Officer Ruby looks forward to assisting the Melrose Youth Hockey and Lacrosse Programs to give back to the initiatives that gave him so much as a youth athlete.

Officer Grant moved to Melrose at age 11 and already comes to Melrose PD with an extensive background in public safety, having worked for the Department of Homeland Security, the TSA, and Northeastern University Police Department.
