Santa Claus is Coming to Town

Santa Claus is Coming to Town

Thanks to Malden City Councilor Barbara Murphy and Pine Banks Park, Santa Claus is coming to town.

For the 74th time, Santa will visit his North Pole Headquarters at Pine Banks Park on Saturday, December 16, from 2 to 6 p.m.

Children are invited to pose for keepsake photos with Santa, who is eager to hear what gifts are wanted this year. Murphy and volunteers will serve complimentary cookies and hot chocolate, and, between 2 and 4 p.m., children can get creative at the arts and crafts table.

“The City of Melrose is grateful to Malden City Councilor Barbara Murphy for her prominent role in continuing this wonderful holiday tradition,” said Mayor Paul Brodeur. “Year after year, Murphy, event volunteers, and the staff of Pine Banks Park turn Pine Banks into a magical, holiday wonderland that brings joy to children. The event is truly a time-honored tradition and a great way for families to create cherished memories together.”

Special guests will include Mr. and Mrs. Claus, their elves, Rudolph the red-nosed Reindeer, Frosty, Olaf, and Elmo.

Santa’s visit is sponsored by Murphy, Malden’s Ward 5 Councilor and City Council President, and Pine Banks Park, located at 1087 Main Street in Malden.
