Photo Contest

The Melrose Recreation Department has launched a photo contest and is accepting photos submission from Melrose community members of all ages! The deadline to submit photos is Wednesday, February 22.

About the Photo Contest

Within the next few months, the Recreation Department will be releasing its Spring Brochure (March) and Summer Brochure (April). In the meantime, staff members will be selecting photos to be highlighted on the cover of and inside the brochures.

Staff members are looking for photos that either represent spring and/or summer and highlight community members having fun with parks & recreation around Melrose. The department would like the brochures to highlight a wide variety of programs, free play, events, sports, nature, parks, swimming, arts, bikes, skateboarding, playgrounds, picnics, and more.

Photo Submission Guidelines

  • Photos must be of Melrose residents.
  • Photos must be taken within Melrose.
  • Each entry is limited to five photos in the following formats: pdf, jpeg, and png.
  • Contest participants must have permission to use the photo from everyone in the photo as it will be publicly published.
  • No financial compensation for being selected (just bragging rights!).
