Pumpkin Composting Event at the City Yard, Saturday, November 6, 8:00 am - Noon

Saturday, November 6, Melrose DPW will be collecting pumpkins for composting! The event will run from 8 AM – 12 PM.

Please note that we are not able to accept pumpkins that have paint, glitter, hairspray, or petroleum jelly on them. If you are unable to come to the event to dispose of your pumpkin, please place them in the trash. They cannot be placed with yard waste.

For associated fees, DPW will be accepting electronics, metal goods, tires, CFL bulbs, mattresses and box springs. See pricing on Schedule of Fees found here: www.cityofmelrose.org/trash-recycling.

In addition, residents may drop off books, textiles, mercury thermometers and thermostats, and DRIED latex paint for FREE.
