Power Is Out in Parts of Melrose

National Grid reports that 2,492 Melrose homes are without power right now, due to a blown transformer on Beech Avenue. The affected areas are in the Pine Banks area, east of Main Street. Crews are at the scene, and National Grid estimates that the power will be back up around 11:30 p.m.
