Police Activity on Mt. Vernon Ave.

Residents should be advised there was significant police activity on Mt. Vernon Ave earlier this morning. Police have apprehended the suspect and the area is secure. Departments from other cities and towns were involved. No injuries were reported. I want to thank the Melrose Police Department and the police officers of surrounding communities for their swift action.
