Planning Board Update: Two Public Hearings on Monday

The Planning Board will hold public hearings on Monday, January 27, on two projects: One is the proposed subdivision on Swains Pond Avenue. As you may know, the developer had initially proposed a much larger project for that site, one that would allow him to bypass many zoning restrictions by including affordable housing. He has withdrawn that proposal and instead decided to return to a nine-lot subdivision plan that was originally approved by the Planning Board in 1999. He is requesting the board’s approval for some modifications to the plan, which are detailed in the project application.

The other proposal before the Planning Board on Monday is the redevelopment of the Marty’s Furniture property at 99 Washington Street.
