Mount Hood Golf Course Receives Liquor License Through City of Melrose, Looks Forward to 2023 Season

Mount Hood Golf Course Has Received a Liquor License Through the City of Melrose and is Looking Forward to the 2023 Season

The City of Melrose has granted a liquor license to Sagamore Golf, Inc. d.b.a., Mount Hood Memorial Park and Golf Course allowing the golf operations management team to expand upon the offerings that the facility provides. The City granted the liquor license after the Massachusetts Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission approved Sagamore’s application for an alcoholic beverages retail license with the State.

Sagamore Golf, Inc. has been working with the City of Melrose to obtain the appropriate food and liquor licenses since the beginning of the year. Acquiring the appropriate license has allowed Mount Hood Memorial Park and Golf Course to begin expanding its current services. Under General Manager, Dean Scarito, Mount Hood has welcomed new team members including Bridgett Mason (Event Manager), Laurence Melia (Chef), and Alison Gaffney (Chef) to further expand the current food and beverage menus.

“We’re very excited to open this year’s season with our new management company, Sagamore Golf,” said Mayor Paul Brodeur. “I hope residents throughout the region take advantage of the outstanding course and the many other amenities it has to offer.”

Under the new management, Mount Hood will be expanding its capabilities and plans to optimize the event and functions facilities, as well as introducing beverage cart operation to the fairways. The use of the beverage cart will allow golfers to enjoy cool refreshments and light snacks while they play their round.

Mount Hood Golf Course highly encourages everyone to visit the newly renovated Pro Shop, and to check out the new menu options at the snackbar. Sagamore Golf is excited for the 2023 season, and welcomes anyone to reach out with any questions, comments, or concerns by emailing mounthood@sagamoregolf.com.
