Monday Update: March 9, 2020

Monday, March 9
- Melrose City Councilor Maya Jamaleddine will be sworn in tonight at 7:15 p.m. in advance of tonight's Protection and License Committee meeting at 7:30 and full City Council meeting at 7:45.
Tuesday, March 10
- The Superintendent Search Screening Committee will meet at 6:30. The agenda indicates they will be meeting for the purpose of approving meeting minutes. The committee has completed its substantive work with the recommendation of three finalists. The finalists will visit Melrose and be interviewed by the School Committee next week; the schedule for that has not been finalized yet.
- The School Committee will meet at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council chamber. Please note that the Committee is likely to go into executive session before reconvening in open session.
- The Veterans Services Advisory Board will hold its regular meeting in the ground-floor conference room at City Hall at 6:30 p.m.
- The Melrose Housing Authority will meet at 7:30 p.m. at their office at 910 Main Street.
Wednesday, March 11
- The Board of Assessors will meet at 10:00 a.m. at City Hall.
- The Human Rights Commission will meet at 7:00 p.m. in the Cassidy Conference Room at City Hall.
- The Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing at 7:45 p.m. in the City Council chamber.
Thursday, March 12
- The Melrose Complete Count Committee is scheduled to meet at 8:30 a.m. in the Cassidy Conference Room.
- The Northeast Metro Tech School Committee will have a subcommittee meeting at 6:00 p.m., a regular commitee meeting at 7:00 p.m., and a public hearing at 7:30 p.m. at the campus (100 Hemlock Road, Wakefield, MA 01880) to discuss the Fiscal 2021 budget. Henry Hooton is the Melrose representative on the committee.
