The Melrose Earth Week Wordle for April 29 was TREES.

Today, the MHS Environmental Club and Keep Melrose Beautiful have been busy planting 250+ saplings around the City through the Tree-plenish program.

Trees mitigate climate change by removing carbon dioxide from the air, storing carbon, and releasing oxygen into the atmosphere. They offer cooling shade, block cold winter winds, attract birds and wildlife, purify our air, prevent soil erosion, clean our water, and add beauty to our community.

Happy Earth Week, Melrose!
