Melrose Mayor Paul Brodeur is set to deliver his State of the City Address in person at the Driscoll Learning Commons at Melrose High School, 360 Lynn Fells Parkway, on Monday, February 27, at 7:30 p.m.

The event will begin with a performance by well-known local a capella group Blue of a Kind, which will be followed by the National Anthem and Pledge of Allegiance, both of which will be performed by Melrose students, and conclude with Mayor Brodeur’s address around 8 p.m.

For community members who cannot attend in person, the State of the City will be recorded and aired on MMTV via their YouTube channel and local cable channels, 22 for Comcast and 38 for Verizon. The State of the City Address, also known as the State of the City Speech, is customarily given once each year by the mayors or city managers of many cities in the United States. Last year, Mayor Brodeur delivered his first State of the City Address virtually.
