Here's the Lineup for the Melrose Music Festival!
What could be better than a community-wide music festival featuring twelve performers on a bright summer Saturday afternoon?
The Melrose Music Festival is the place to be on Saturday, July 27th, from 2:00-7:00p.m. Bring a blanket, lawn chairs, and your family and friends for an enjoyable day of local live music at the Cabbage Patch field, located in front of the Middle School at 360 Lynn Fells Parkway. The music festival is an outdoor event which will include children’s activities, a community art project led by Follow Your Art Community Studios, and a food truck for refreshments. The centerpiece of the festival will be Peter Parcek’s distinctive music and will also feature eleven more performers, keep reading for a breakdown of everyone who will be there.
Peter Parcek, by many of the greats when it comes to blues, coins the term “Soul Guitar” when it comes to describing his music.
Broken Leg Productions takes its name from the classic theatrical saying, “Break a leg!” With the use of unique high quality theatrical productions, Broken Leg Productions strive to use theater and education to make a difference in people of all ages in the North shore area.
Samantha Zysk is a Melrose High School graduate who has been writing and composing music for over a decade.
Salinger is an art punk band from Boston, MA. Their debut LP “Drink to me” will be released this fall!
Jesse DeLaurier is a fifteen year-old singer-songwriter from Melrose, MA who has been playing music, writing songs, and performing since he was five years old.
The Rats of Rose Project is a fun band project composed of teens and adults featuring Sammy McQuaid, Ray Kochanski, Molly Corr, Julie Unger, and Tim Ko.
Sam Chetkin is a fifteen year-old actor, singer, and songwriter from Melrose, MA. He has performed title roles in local theatre groups, and performed at popular venues such as Bill’s Bar, Loretta’s Last Call, and The Hard Rock in Boston.
Artisan Cheese uncovers gems from the best decades and then covers them for the people to enjoy.
Molly Corr is a rising senior at Melrose High School, she performs with various school and community music groups, including the Melrose Symphony Orchestra.
Eddie Miller is a Melrose based singer-songwriter originally from Long Island, New York who has been playing rock and folk for nearly thirty years!
J. Van Cleave is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist. Jeremy steps to center stage with songs that evoke feelings of love and fear, loss and joy.
Great weather is expected for Saturday evening, but the event will be held in light rain or shine. This event is a great way to help connect neighborhoods while also further supporting our fine arts community. The Melrose Music Festival is sponsored by the City of Melrose and Waste Management Inc.
