Help Your Melrose Neighbors through COVID-19

The COVID-19 pandemic has been challenging and frankly scary, but one thing that makes me proud to lead Melrose is the tremendous outpouring of offers to help I’ve heard from so many of you. COVID-19 will undoubtedly have profound effects on vulnerable populations including seniors and residents with underlying health conditions regardless of exposure levels. We, as a community, must step up and help. So many of you have asked what you can do to help. Let me tell you.
Today, I’m launching a new initiative I’m calling Melrose Helps to coordinate community needs and offers of help. I’ve already heard from several City Councilors, local business owners, and other residents who are eager to get started. Many details of this initiative are still being worked out, and our efforts will shift with developments, but this is our start.
