Early Voting Begins Wednesday, September 6 for Melrose Mayoral Preliminary Election

In-person early voting in Melrose will take place in the Election Office, located on the first floor of City Hall (562 Main Street), on the following dates:  

Wednesday September 6, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. 
Friday September 8, 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. 
Tuesday, September 12, 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Registered voters can also cast their ballots by mail, or in person on election day:  

Vote by mail - submit a vote-by-mail ballot application to the Melrose Election Office.  Applications are available on the elections site as well as on the Secretary of the Commonwealth’s website.  Ballot applications may be submitted in person, by mail or emailed to elections@cityofmelrose.org 

The last day to register to vote for the Mayoral Preliminary election is Friday September 8, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. Check your registration status at https://www.sec.state.ma.us/ovr/ or www.RegisterToVoteMA.com. 

The deadline to submit a vote-by-mail application for the upcoming election is September 12, 2023 by 5:00 p.m.  

In-person on election day – on September 19th, residents will vote at the Melrose Veterans Memorial Middle School gym complex (entrance is 90 Melrose Street). Polls are open from 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
