Council on Aging Seeks Volunteers

Want to help Melrose meet the needs of its senior population? The City of Melrose Council on Aging seeks creative, engaged volunteers to serve as members of the Council.

The mission of the Melrose COA is to advocate for older adults and sponsor services and programs that promote their health and well-being and help them live with dignity in our community. We recognize that our seniors are a community of diverse backgrounds, skills, and needs and seek applicants that reflect that diversity.

By ordinance, the Council on Aging coordinates and implements programs designed to meet the needs of residents age 60 and over.

The Council typically meets on the third Thursday of the month and members frequently consult with the Executive Director. Please note that you do not have to be a senior to be considered.

If you want to help shape the future of our senior community here in Melrose, please send a resume and/or expression of interest to sminchello@cityofmelrose.org. We also want to hear from you if you have questions, ideas about programming, have other thoughts, or are just looking to get involved, even if you are not interested in joining the Council.

Live well, age well.
