Mayor Paul Brodeur is pleased to announce that the City of Melrose will once again offer free Mental Health First Aid Training courses to the Melrose community this fall and winter. These courses are designed to equip community members with skills to better support neighbors, friends and loved ones experiencing emotional distress. The courses are open to adults 18 and older who live or work in Melrose.

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is a nationally recognized skills-based training course that teaches participants about mental health and substance use challenges. Participants will build skills and confidence to reach out and provide initial support to those who are struggling and learn how to help connect them to appropriate resources.
