In the last three years, the non-profit organization has awarded more than $1.2 million dollars in scholarships to nearly 650 different graduating MHS seniors.

About the MHS Permanent Scholarship Fund

The mission of the MHS Permanent Scholarship Fund is to raise and administer the funds required to award scholarships to students graduating from Melrose High School. While they work with the school to support the students, they are an independent, voluntary 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and are not directly associated with Melrose High School. The MHS Permanent Scholarship Fund is primarily supported by contributions from the residents and businesses of Melrose. The Fund, which was created by the Melrose High School PTO in 1960, awarded its first scholarship in June of 1961.
