4-Week Mindfulness Wellness Program: Take Charge of Your Well-being

4-Week Mindfulness Wellness Program: Take Charge of Your Well-being

Melrose residents can add some relaxation to their weekly routine by signing up for the City’s 4-Week Wellness Program, Mindfulness, designed to help the Melrose community increase their well-being and cope with symptoms related to stress, anxiety, and depression.

Over the course of four weeks, Mindfulness students will learn to use focused attention to tune into their bodies, calm the mind, and self-regulate the nervous system and will develop a personalized home-based practice with support from the class and available recordings.

Included in the course: guided practices, self-reflection exercises, short lectures, group discussion, and a how-to-guide on developing your own home-based practice with support from class and recordings.

The program will take place at the Milano Center on Thursday evenings at 7 p.m. starting January 18, costs a total of $40, (that’s just $10 per class), and will be taught by Melrose Recreation Director and Mindfulness Teacher Frank Olivieri.

To register, visit www.cityofmelrose.org/recreation and click “Register Here" (it’s listed under Adult Programs).
