Chalk Walk Info: What you need to know!
All chalk art creation at Ell Pond will take place on October 1st between 10:00 am-1:00 pm (rain date Oct 2). Short on time? Busy day? It can take as little as 20 minutes to participate!
At Ell Pond: There will be a gallery square along the walkway for everyone who has registered; specific locations are first come, first serve. If you wish to sponsor a square but cannot attend, please check the “pay it forward” box on the form and we will make sure it goes to an individual or family who wants to participate but cannot financially contribute.
Please check in at the gazebo when you arrive. We will have volunteers on hand with chalk, tape, hand wipes, and a “cheat sheet” of chalk tips and techniques to help your work really stand out!
All artwork may be photographed and used in social media posts, website images, and future promotions for FYACS events and activities.
When you are finished your work, head down to City Hall to see what our sponsored artists are creating! The Big Yellow House (647 Main Street, right between both locations) will be open for bathroom, additional hand washing, and gallery visits.
Artists working in the chalk gallery at City Hall may begin earlier than 10:00 am if needed. A volunteer will be there to greet you and get you settled.
All artwork and sponsor information will remain on site until mother nature decides otherwise!
