Today marks the beginning of Women’s History Month—31 days of commemorating and encouraging the study, observance, and celebration of the role of women in American history.
To celebrate this important time, the Melrose Commission on Women invites you to join them as they unveil a mural created by Follow Your Art Community Studios. The unveiling will take place at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 8—International Women’s Day—at the YMCA Courtyard.

Accepting a $93,000 Earmark: The City of Melrose has been awarded a $93,000 State Earmark through the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) for enhancements to the Gazebo at Ell Pond Park.
MHS' Participation in White Ribbon Day: Melrose High School (MHS) students, Interim Superintendent of Melrose Public Schools John Macero, and MHS staff will participate in MAAV’s Annual White Ribbon Day flag-raising ceremony on Wednesday, March 6, at 1 p.m,. outside City Hall. Voting in The Presidential Primary Election: Melrosians can vote in the Presidential Primary Election in person on Election Day—March 5, 2024—between the hours of 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. at the Melrose Veterans Memorial Middle School Gymnasium.
