Treasurer / Collector’s Office

The mission of the Office of the Treasurer & Collector is to provide the city with a system of fiscally prudent monetary controls, thereby ensuring the safeguarding of the funds collected and invested for the citizens of the City.

The Treasurer Collector Department is located on the first floor of City Hall.  The Department is responsible for the receipt, investment and disbursement of all City funds as well as the management of the debt portfolio and issuance of new short-term and long-term debt.  The Treasurer Collector is also responsible for the management of the collection of tax titles.

The Collector’s Department issues and collects real estate tax, property tax, motor vehicle excise tax, and water and sewer bills.  Municipal Lien Certificates are also issued by the department. 

The Treasurer’s Department manages the taxes collected and all other receipts, processes all City and School payrolls, and funds all payments.  The Treasury/Parking Clerk issues parking permits and collects parking ticket fees.
