Melrose Farmers’ Market to Host Fall Harvest Indoor Market on November 18

Photo of Indoor Farmers Market in Memorial HallThe Melrose Farmers’ Market is offering several indoor markets for the remaining 2018 season. The first market is the Harvest Market on Sunday,  November 18th, 2018 from 10:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Hall, 590 Main Street, Melrose.

The Market will have most of the farmers and vendors who were with the Melrose and Wakefield farmers’ markets, as well as some new vendors. As always, the market will offer a wonderful array of local produce, sustainably raised meat, poultry, eggs, bread, cheese, fresh fish, pasta, dips and spreads, maple syrup, honey, preserves, teas, spice blends, wine, and a wide variety of freshly baked goods. A selection of artisan vendors offering soaps, herbal products, hand crafted jewelry, woodworking and more will also be attending, featured in our “Artisan Loft.”

The Harvest Market will have activities for the whole family, including face painting from Masks by Design, a community art project from Follow Your Art, kids yoga from Joy Yoga from 10am to 11am, and live music from The Bohemians from 12:00pm-2:00pm.

Here are the vendors we expect on November 18: Aaronap Cellars, Ackermann’s Maple Farm, Baer’s Best Beans, Bagel Land of Winchester, Bathbomba Mama, Beverly Bee’s, Boston Smoked Fish Co., Brooklyn James, C Moreno Creates, Coutts Specialty Foods, Deano’s Pasta, Dicks Market Garden, Dove’s and Figs, END Bakery, EPOCA, Fabian’s European Pastries, Fire Garden Pottery, Fork on a Road,  Hannah’s Herbals, Hiller’s Silver Studio,  Johnnie Johnnie Goods, Kim Gregory Pure Pastry, Koshari Mama, Lilac Hedge Farm, Moonlight Farm, Mr. Tamole, Muddy River Herbals, Muddy Water Coffee Roasters, Oakdale Farm, Pleasant Moments by HFR, Roberto’s Seafood, Rosegold & Rainbows, Sasquatch Woodworks, Sarah’s Originals, Shady Pine Farm, Sheepshed, Sweet Lydia’s, Sweet Spot Bakery,  The Bread Shop, The Popover Lady, Ugly Baby Soap Company, and Smith’s Country Cheese.

Market goers can preorder their fresh, hormone/antibiotic-free turkeys and pick them up at the market. Two vendors are taking orders, Lilac Hedge Farm and Shady Pine Farm.

The market accepts SNAP and HIP benefits. SNAP match up to $10 is generously funded by Melrose Bank, Eastern Bank, and  Northern Bank. Most vendors accept credit card, however, “Market Money” is available at the Market Table.

In addition to the November 18 market, please save the date for the pop-up farmers’ market at the Lincoln School’s Homegrown for the Holidays on December 1, 10am-3pm and the Holiday Farmers’  Market at Memorial Hall on December 16, 10am-2pm.
