MAAV Walk and Candlelight Vigil on October 28

The Melrose Alliance Against Violence is holding its 23rd Annual Walk & Candlelight Vigil this Sunday, October 28. It begins at 4pm at the Middle School in Melrose, with the doors opening at 3pm. If you have never attended this event, it begins with a Candlelight Vigil to honor victims of domestic violence homicide, followed by a 1.7-mile walk around Melrose. The topic is serious, but it is a family-friendly event. We'll have an art project and face painters from Masks by Design on hand to entertain kids who may be too young to sit through the Vigil. People often form teams and walk together, but individuals are welcome to attend and join the walk, too. Hope to see you there!
