The second of two summer community concerts will be presented on Saturday, July 28th, at 7 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 561 Main Street in Melrose. Nine talented young professionals who are studying at the Boston Conservatory will present an evening of singing and playing pieces from Germany, France, and Brazil as well as a USA premier piece. The concert will feature the music of Bach, Villa-Lobos, Brahms and original pieces performed on the piano, organ, strings and in song. Kelvyn Koning, the organizer of the event, is the Director of Music at the First Baptist Church and is currently pursuing his Master of Music in Composition. He is also a member of the Boston Quorum, where he serves as male soprano and accompanist. Ha-eun Ryu, violinist, has completed her master's degree at the Boston Conservatory and will be  pursuing a Doctorate of Musical Arts at the University of Iowa. Christopher James Hester, a native of North Carolina, is a recent graduate of Boston Conservatory at Berklee's Vocal Pedagogy Program. Eddie He began to study cello at the age of eight, and attended the Xinghai Conservatory of Music in China. He currently studies at the Boston Conservatory. Carlo Mauricio has performed in solo, chamber music, and orchestral programs in the US and abroad and is currently pursuing a degree in violin at the Boston Conservatory. Brandon White, Jaman E. Dunn, Luke Paulino, and Warren Ertle, all students, will also perform. Tickets may be purchased at Buckalew's, Miter Biter Frame Co, Macaulay's House of Vacuums, and the First Baptist Church. Prices for the tickets are as follows:  Students and seniors, $10 and $12 at the door, Adults, $15, and $18 at the door. The church is handicapped accessible. Please call 781-665-4470 for information.
