More Hot Weather on the Way!

It looks like we’re going to get one more blast of summer heat before August is over. Current forecasts predict that temperatures will be in the 90s on Tuesday and Wednesday, with high humidity making it feel even more oppressive. It may break on Thursday with some thunderstorms.
As always, I want to remind you to take precautions and go easy during this hot, humid spell. Stay out of the sun and avoid strenuous activity as much as possible; drink plenty of water; eat lightly; and if you don’t have air conditioning, stay on a lower floor, away from the sun, and use a fan to keep the air circulating. There are more tips, including symptoms of heat related illness, on the mass.gov website.
And don’t despair! Autumn is right around the corner!
