MISSION STATEMENT AUDITING DEPARTMENT
The overall goal of the Auditors Office is to provide
1) financial information useful for making economical, political and social decisions, and to demonstrate accountability and stewardship; and 2) information useful for evaluating managerial and organizational performance.
The Auditors Office is responsible for overseeing departmental appropriations. This includes recording all City expenditures and assuring that departments operate within their annual appropriations. The Auditors Office audits all departments and reports the City's financial status on an annual basis. The Auditors Office is also responsible for processing payroll, accounts payable, and retirement administration.
