I have sold my house, why do I continue to get tax bills?

The information cannot be changed on the tax bill until the Assessor's Department receives notification of the ownership change from the Registry of Deeds. Until that notification is received, the bill remains in the name of the former owner. 

You may forward the bill to the new owner, send it back to the Collector's Department or call the Collector's Department (781-979-4120) with the new owner's name.
