Porchfest Returns Saturday September 28

After last year’s success, the Porchfest Committee, in partnership with the Melrose Messina Fund for the Arts and with the support of the Melrose Police and the city government, is proud to announce the second annual Melrose Porchfest to be held on Saturday September 28 from 2-6 p.m (rain date Sunday 9/29).  Porchfest is a music festival in the city that features resident porches (or decks, garages, lawns) as the stages.  It is a free community event, open to all.

The inaugural festival, which entertained a stellar turnout, provided over 80 hours of music at 23 “porches” across the city. Musical genres included jazz, rock, latin rock, pop, folk, blues, soul, traditional Irish, alternative country, and even a jug band.  Mark your calendars because this year’s lineup is looking great!

If you are interested in performing or volunteering at a porch, visit melroseporchfest.org or email us at melroseporchfest@gmail.com. The final map of locations and band schedules will be available on our website on Friday 9/27.
