Melrose Cultural Council and Melrose Messina Fund for the Arts Host Art & Culture Grant Information Night

Melrose is a vibrant cultural community, in large part due to the efforts of individuals who initiate arts and cultural programming.  Melrose residents, artists, and organizers are invited to learn more about local arts and cultural grant opportunities for Melrose residents and organizations onTuesday, September 24th  7:00pm - 8:15pm at Follow-Your-Art Community Studios, 647 Main Street. Learn about the Melrose Cultural Council’s Local Cultural Council grant program, funded by the Massachusetts Cultural Council (Oct. 15thsubmission deadline for 2020 grants), as well as the city’s Melrose Messina Fund for the Arts grants.

At this drop-in session, you are invited to ask questions of council members, share your ideas, and learn how to best promote and market local art and cultural events. Your input will help determine priorities for awarding future arts grants that benefit the community. Information and tips on preparing an arts grant proposal and event marketing tips will be available.

If you are a practicing artist, craftsman, musician, performer, writer, or filmmaker who would like to apply for an arts grant, or if you represent a local organization or location that would like to sponsor or host a public arts and cultural event, please consider attending.  More information will be posted on the Melrose Cultural Council’s Facebook page, or contact melroseculture@gmail.com.
