Fifth Annual Community Coffee House to Celebrate Healthy Relationships

Local musician Alastair Moock will perform for the first time at this year's Coffee House. He will be joined by his daughter Clio.

Come celebrate healthy relationships while enjoying the talents of Melrose! On Sunday March 11, the Safe Steps for Melrose Project is hosting the 5th annual Community Coffee House, called “Voices Against Violence.”  This event will feature performances centered around the themes of friendship, love and healthy relationships.

The Coffee House is being organized by Melrose High School students Cian Murphy, Lauren Pedrini, Lizzie Schwarze, Madelyn Strike and Kyla Waring, who will team up to emcee the event as well. It will feature performances by middle and high school students and faculty members, as well as local musician Bill McQuaid and his son Sammy, local musician Alastair Moock and his daughter Clio, Melrose resident Kris Rodilico, Alderman Mike Zwirko and more.  Performances will include songs, instrumental performances, and poetry.

This year’s Coffee House will take place on Sunday, March 11 from 4:00 to 6:00pm at Temple Beth Shalom, 21 East Foster Street in Melrose. All are welcome and admission is free, with a suggested donation of $5. Seating is limited and refreshments will be sold.
