Threads Show, Beebe Estate, March 2

The March Exhibition at the Beebe Estate is titled "Threads" and will feature three award winning textile artists presenting their newest creations. The opening reception is Friday, March 2 from 7-9 PM and will feature light refreshments and the opportunity to meet the  artists. Additional gallery hours are the Saturdays in March from 11-3 PM. The Beebe Estate is located at 235 West Foster Street in Melrose.

Sandra Golbert has been working in textiles for many years, beginning in the New York high fashion industry, and now applying her design concepts to art and jewelry design. Three-dimensionality is prevalent in almost all of her pieces, as is deep regard for detail. She shows in many countries, museums, and galleries. Sandra has been featured in Fiber Art Now magazine and the Who's Who of American Women Artists.  fiberarte.com

Agusta Agustsson, an artist and teacher for many years, is featured in numerous corporate and museum collections including the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. She is the recipient of local, national and international awards and grants for both textiles and painting. Her work reflects natural themes and rich color, and features fabric that she embellishes with paint and natural objects.  agustaagustsson@me.com

Beverly Hinckley is a retired Melrose teacher, who began working in mixed media using natural objects such as wood, feather and stone. Her work reflects play with color, texture and form, bringing classic quilt patterns to a new level.
