What will Melrose look like in 30 years?
Imagine it’s 2050 and Melrose has reached its goal to be Net Zero. What does it look like? All (or most) of our buildings, homes, and vehicles run on electricity which comes from an electric grid that is 100% powered by renewable energy generation. Our community-wide greenhouse gas emissions have decreased to zero because we no longer depend on natural gas and oil to heat our homes or on gasoline to fuel our cars. Residents move around Melrose on foot or by bike on roads and streets that safely accommodate all modes of mobility. What else do you see?
