Veterans’ Day Observance - TOMORROW

Ceremonies at the Knoll, Vietnam Memorial, and Newly Restored Honor Roll

In observance of Veterans' Day, City of Melrose offices will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, November 11.

Melrose's Veterans' Day ceremonies will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the Vietnam Reflection Area, located at the Knoll across from Melrose Veterans Memorial Middle School. Following a brief ceremony, a remembrance will be held at the Vietnam Memorial on Main Street, and the days’ ceremony will conclude at the Honor Roll, located at 585 Main Street, where the newly restored memorial will be officially unveiled.  

The Melrose Veterans’ Advisory Board, in partnership with the Melrose Veterans’ Services Office, will be holding a food drive on Saturday, November 13th from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm at the Melrose Shaw’s Supermarket, located 34 Essex St. All donated food and gift cards will be given to the Servant’s Heart Food Pantry and the Pantry of Hope.
