In accordance with the provisions of Mass General Laws and Melrose City Ordinances, all dogs residing in the City of Melrose must be licensed and have received a rabies vaccination. Dog licenses are valid from Jan 1-Dec 31. If renewed by March 14th, the fees are $20 for spayed/neutered dogs and $23 for intact dogs. If renewed after March 15 the price increases by $15, to $35 and $38 respectively. You can renew your license in person by visiting The City Clerk’s Office, via mail (562 Main Street, attn. City Clerk’s Office), or on-line at https://epay.cityhallsystems.com/selection.
