The deadline to register to vote in the Preliminary Election for Mayor is Wednesday, August 28, at 8 p.m. The Elections Office will remain open until 8 p.m. that day.

The Preliminary Election will be held on September 17. It is not a primary. All five candidates for Mayor will be on a single ballot, voters will choose a single candidate, and the two candidates receiving the most votes will proceed to the city-wide election on November 5.
If you are unable to make it to the polls between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Election Day, you may apply for an absentee ballot by submitting an application to the Election Office by noon on September 16.
