New Location for Override Forums on September 26 and October 2

Mayor Gail Infurna will hold two forums to listen to residents’ viewpoints on the proposed override question, which she plans to send to the Board of Aldermen later this year and then to voters in a special election in the spring.

The forums will be held on Wednesday, September 26, and Tuesday, October 2, at 7 p.m. in the Melrose High School Learning Commons (note new location). Beth McCarthy, a professional facilitator and a Melrose resident, will moderate.

“This is a time for me to sit back and hear what you have to say,” said Infurna. “I know that the override is an absolute necessity, but there are still many decisions to be made. I want to hear from you about your priorities and your vision for the future of Melrose.”

Residents are also invited to submit their feedback via a questionnaire, which is available at City Hall, the Melrose Public Library, and the Milano Center as well as online, and by e-mailing questions and comments to mayorsoffice@cityofmelrose.org.
