MHS Marching Band Competition on October 6

The Melrose High School Band will host the Northeast Scholastic Band Association (NESBA) Band Competition this Saturday, October 6 starting at 5 pm on the Fred Green Field. Your Melrose Raiders Marching Band will perform selections from Grease at 8:05 pm! 

16 high school bands from across the state will perform as well as the UMASS Lowell Band! The UMASS Lowell Band will play their exhibition show at 6:30 pm. There’s an intermission at 6:45 pm and then the last band, Wakefield, performs at 9:05 pm. 

Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for students/seniors. Come hungry because there will be a full concession stand including grilled Italian sausages with peppers and onions, burgers, veggie burgers, pizza, gluten-free options, great desserts and much more! 

The public is warmly invited for any or the entire event. It’s great for families, especially for those with budding musicians. Go Red Raiders!
