Melrose Senior Resource Fair Returns with Seasonal Flu Clinic

After a hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Mayor’s Senior Resource Fair will return on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm in Memorial Hall, 590 Main Street. Melrose residents 60 years of age or older are invited to attend to learn about programs and discounts available through the City of Melrose and other agencies, including:

  • Property Tax Abatements
  • Property Tax Work Off Program
  • MBTA Senior Charlie Card
  • Water/Sewer and Solid Waste Discounts
  • Fuel Assistance
  • Veteran’s Benefits
  • Library Card
  • 60+ Homecare Services
  • Meals on Wheels
  • Farmers Market and Food Pantry Resources
  • And more!

The Melrose Health Department will be providing free flu shots during the Senior Resource Fair. Pre-registration is encouraged. Residents may pre-register by calling the Council on Aging at 781-665-4304, stopping by the Melrose Health Department (City Hall Lower Level), or via the City of Melrose webpage at https://home.color.com/vaccine/register/melrose. Residents who do not pre-register should allow for extra time to register when they check-in and should bring their insurance card.

Residents are reminded to bring a photo ID, recent tax bill, 2020 tax return, social security statement, electric bill, and DD214 form, if applicable.
