Melrose Drama Presents 'As You Like It' on April 26-29

Come join Melrose Drama as the Middle School presents William Shakespeare's comedic play “As You Like It.” The production will be performed at the Middle School on Thursday April 26th and Friday April 27th at 7PM and on Sunday April 29th at 1PM. Tickets will be available at the door. 

“As You Like It” is also the Middle School’s entry in the 2018 Massachusetts Educational Theater Guild’s 2018 Middle School Drama Festival. The Festival performance will be on Saturday April 28th at 2:00 PM at The Bromfield School, 14 Massachusetts Avenue, Harvard, MA. The Festival begins at 9:00 AM and admission is $10.00 which includes the opportunity to see all seven plays that will be performed at the Site.  

Directed by Melrose Stage Director, Adam Schuler, “As You Like It” tells the story of a young princess, Rosalind, who, after being banished from her Uncle’s Court, disguises herself as a farmer and encounters a memorable cast of characters—including her love Orlando—in the Forest of Arden. This witty and subversive comedy examines two enduring human illusions—the dream of a simple life and the ideal of romantic love. Please come out and support this hardworking and talented group of students as they present this classic production.
